Happy Mother's Day to all of us who have raised or helped raise children.  Being a mother is a special gift--a priviledge for which I am eternally grateful.  I also offer tribute to my own mother who is now 83.

This weekend was fast and furious for my son and me.  On Friday we drove to Texas to see my mom, my sister, and one of my daughters along with my wonderful grandson.  My son went to a ball game with my brother in law while I visited with my mom and my aunt from Michigan.  On Saturday, we went to my sister's house and she cooked a pork loin while ( Read more... )

So yesterday, I did the housecleaning thing.  And it helped.  Then I went outside and worked with clay.   I threw a pot, which I finished today as it was beginning to turn too mushy to work with yesterday, and I made a turtle--hand built him.  Turned out pretty good.
